KVC Health Systems is a private, nonprofit organization that has made a positive difference in over 300,000 people�s lives with in-home family support, behavioral healthcare, foster care, adoption and children�s psychiatric hospitals. It works to create healthy childhoods and healthy communities by helping families who are experiencing crisis or behavioral health challenges.KVC is responsible for caring for thousands of Kansas children in foster care due to abuse, neglect and other family challenges; helps youth at KVC Hospitals children�s psychiatric treatment centers; and provides youth behavioral health programs at KVC Niles in the historic 18th and Vine district. KVC was founded by a group of volunteers in Kansas City, KS in 1970 and, in 50 years, has grown to a team of nearly 1,500 caring professionals working from 35 locations in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Kentucky and West Virginia. KVC also shares best practice training and consultation to agencies around the world through its KVC Institute, working to transform the experience of childhood for all children.
