OVERLAND PARK, KAN.—The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City (AACC) has selected its 2021 Asian Chamber Awards honorees in 3 categories, according to Sook Park, Executive Director of the AACC. The honorees are: the 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year, Sharmil Desai, Menufy; the 2021 Professional Leader of the Year, Forest Rong, Kiewit Engineering Group Inc.; and the 2021 Above & Beyond Award, Evergy.
The 2021 Asian Chamber Award honorees will be recognized at the AACC’s 17th Annual Awards Gala, Tuesday afternoon, May 25, 2021, via virtual livestream. Tickets for the Gala can be purchased on the organization’s website.
The Keynote Speaker for the 2021 Awards Gala will be Mr. Deepak Chopra, New York Times Bestselling Author, Internist/Endocrinologist, and Founder of The Chopra Foundation. Honorary Chairperson of the 2021 Gala is Andrea Hendricks, Senior Executive Director and Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Cerner Corporation.
The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City was formed in 1998 as a non-profit organization to enhance the economic opportunities for Asian American businesses through education, networking, and advocacy while promoting community engagement and visibility.
